    On XP have v1.7.1_01 wanted Java 6 update 10 w/Java EE ??

A few weeks back I thought I installed the Java SDK
    Java 7 update 10 w/Java EE

Got back to the PC today and at command line entered...
    Javac -Version

    Response: Java Version 1.7.0_01

    Questions:
1 - Is this the SDK version? If not how do I get that displayed?

    2 - I don't see anything in Start | All Programs
that looks like Java SDK... should I?

    3 - In Add/Remove Programs I see...
    .. Java 7 Update 1
.. Java SE Development Kit 7
so... do I actually have Java 7 update 10 w/Java EE installed?

4 - If not can I just uninstall all Java and start over?

5 - I was able to create the "Hello World" source and compile and run it... so I guess I do have a java compiler installed... right?

thanks for any help on getting this right...

You have what is called Java version 7 which is actually 1.7. Java "7" is a marketing tool. Java 6 would be 1.6. See where this is going?
