Visual C++ 2008 installation problem
I have recently installed visual C++ 2008 express edition with SP1 on my Windows XP machine. But, whenever I try to build the solutions, I get this error :
error PRJ0003 : Error spawning 'rc.exe'
I reinstalled the IDE and googled online for help, but of no use.
Note: I manually tried to find rc.exe but couldn't find it. Where is it located?? Also, I have no "microsoft sdk" folder in my program files. Is it the problem??

Re: Visual C++ 2008 installation problem
In 2005 rc.exe should be somewhere in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\VC\bin
Or
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\VC\bin
Depending on whether you are running 64 or 32 bit windows.
I guess for 2008, it should be in "Microsoft Visual Studio 9".

I installed it through visual C++ 2008 express edition, not through visual studio.
