    Exclamation Urgent!!!!!

Just felt the urge to issue the following...

There's only one thing even worse to me than a post titled "Need Help" (may or may not be accompanied by other non-substantial stuff), and that's when the post contains the word "urgent" (either in the title or in the post's body).

To clarify: There's probably few ways to create an even more meaningless thread title. Posts titled "Need Help" are instantly put quite low on my priority scale (regardless of their actual contents, if I read that at all), and the word "urgent" even pushes them significantly lower (in case thare's any "lower" on the scale at that point at all).

Probably needless to mention that, but if the post hasn't hit the absolute minimum priority already anyway, its rank on my priority scale also is inverse-proportional to the number of exclamation points it contains.

Perhaps this rant sets somebody thinking, but at least I feel I can sleep a bit better now tonight...
I was thrown out of college for cheating on the metaphysics exam; I looked into the soul of the boy sitting next to me.

This is a snakeskin jacket! And for me it's a symbol of my individuality, and my belief... in personal freedom.

    Re: Urgent!!!!!

I know what you mean, when ever I see the word urgent in a thread title I am much more likely to ignore it.

    Re: Urgent!!!!!

IMO the only time things are urgent is when someone wants us to write a program for them for their homework assignment - and then they get a bit upset when we point them to the forum code of practice and say we can't write it for them!
All advice is offered in good faith only. All my code is tested (unless stated explicitly otherwise) with the latest version of Microsoft Visual Studio (using the supported features of the latest standard) and is offered as examples only - not as production quality. I cannot offer advice regarding any other c/c++ compiler/IDE or incompatibilities with VS.
