A professional GUI design toolkit for creating exotic and great user interfaces

    Hi,

I have always wanted to design a software with a great and exotic user interface which includes non-standard and uncommon UI components such as tabs, bars, button and so on. Now, I as eager to find a professional toolkit or suite which helps me to quickly design and use marvelous and inventive user interface in another project like VC++ or Qt.

Does anybody know a product like that?
The examples for the software interfaces I really like are Kaspersky Pure 2012, Folder Lock or even Babylon. All these have a different and pretty UI elements which creating them is not easy or impossible when using traditional tools such as Visual Studio or Eclipse.

Good things aren't easy or quick.

...in another project like VC++ or Qt.
Personally I think QT is the better option.

Do you actually want to learn something and put some (or more) time in it, or are you simply looking for a quick fix ?

If you're only interested in Windows programing, consider skinning your apps with a product such as SkinCrafter. When I bought it it was horrendously expensive but it's come down in price quite e lot. A couple of words of caution though...

    1) Make sure you try the demo copy and make them fix any problems BEFORE you spend any money. After sales support is near non-existent from what I can recall.

    2) Be aware that it doesn't (or at least didn't) skin owner-draw controls. I remember loads of users pleading with them to skin the non-client areas of owner-draw controls but it was a complete waste of time trying to get them to implement new features.

SkinCrafter does have some very nice skins though. Just be sure that the product is right for you BEFORE you part with any money.

Another possibility is WindowBlinds from StarDock though I must admit, I've no experience with it.
