    incrementing iterator

    I have always used iterator as it++ , I which to understand what effect does ++it has as oppose to it++ , where it being the iterator.

    ++it means this:

    increment the iterator
    return the new location

    it++ means this:
    copy the iterator
    increment the original iterator
    return the copy
