extract embedded .data files from docx into database on a mac

Hi.

I have been sent a small project in advance of java dev interview. They have sent me a brief in the
form of a .docx document, which includes 2 .data files. When I right click on them in mac word 2007, it gives me an 'OLE package object' option which asks if i want to convert to the same format...
pointless.
I do have access to a PC with word (but not really to install eclipse etc. on).

I have attached the file for viewing.

Has anyone got experience with this and have any suggestions?
