It's easier since you don't have to remember what port to use as well as the url. In some way it's just like that you don't have to use the long distance prefix when you dial a local phone number.
Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place.
Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by
definition, not smart enough to debug it.
