GUI Tabs are a pain in the ****

GUI question, please let me know if I should paste this somewhere else.

I'm working with VB2012, has anyone got a fix for the HORRIBLE way the GUI handles tabbed documents? I can neither make documents stay open the way I want, or have them do anything remotely usable! What was wrong with the way they used to work in 2005/2008? You could open documents and have them happily side by side, they remembered where you put them and everybody was happy. Now I spend more time trying to find code than writing it.

If anyone has a fix for this please let me know, I will pay real money! I will marry you and have your children!!

(Maybe joking about the last bit)

Might help to post the code that used to work vs what doesn't work any longer. Unless you just blink your eyes...

No, it's not a code problem. It's the VS tabbed environment.
