Java Developer - major travel websites - near Bath / Bristol, South West UK
Your challenge:
Help address one of Europes biggest challenges - how people, communities and entire populations get around powering services such as Thetrainline.co.uk, Transport for London, Department of Transport and Stansted Airport.
Your role:
Contribute to significant high-performance and scalable middleware, applications, libraries and front-end development projects enabling technologies like real time multi modal data feeds to power live mapping, live updating, tracking, ticketing, bookings, payments and much more. You will be using the latest technologies in a high quality development environment, collaborating with other passionate and expert Java, C++, .NET, iOS, Android and testing colleagues.
About you:
Proven Java coding abilities core or Java Enterprise Edition
Passion for Web and software development
An object-oriented approach
Excellent interpersonal skills
This environment:
Core Java / JavaEE6 / Eclipse / Spring / Struts / AJAX / Maven / Web Services / JavaScript / JSP / CSS / HTML / SQL / Oracle
Upcoming projects:
Maintenance of existing sites and Java middleware code, as well as next generation of travel websites
Salary and benefits:
£30,000 £40,000+ (negotiable)
