encryption "crash-test"
Hi all,
I created a data encryption algorithm own.
Does anyone know how i can test the reliability?
(note that this algorithm is not based on any known concept, or so I think)
Thx for any suggestions.

Re: encryption "crash-test"
if you post your code, someone *might* test it. Make sure it's the SOURCE CODE ONLY. Not an .exe

Re: encryption "crash-test"
I do not want to test source code.
I want to test the encrypted file

Re: encryption "crash-test"
You can have a contest, and offer $$$ to anyone that could break it. Or, just post part of the encrypted file in CHIT CHAT, and they'll play around with it.

Perhaps this related thread can aid in the discussion: http://forums.codeguru.com/showthrea...uot-is-my-code One of the core points there is that a secret encryption algorithm is unlikely to ever be widely trusted in the developer communty (and why).
It's the key that needs to be kept secret, not the algorithm.

I was thrown out of college for cheating on the metaphysics exam; I looked into the soul of the boy sitting next to me.
