Where are the MSBuild Error Codes?
Hello,
I'm using VC++ 2010 express, on Windows 7, 64 bit OS.
I'm getting MSBuild errors, specifically MSB6006. However, when I looked for error codes, I could not find MSBuilt error codes that go that high. I can only find the list for VS2005 and VS2008, not for VS2010.
Here is the error I'm getting:
C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft.Cpp\v4.0\Microsoft.CppCommon.targets(151,5): error MSB6006: "cmd.exe" exited with code 2
I've looked fairly hard for these codes, but the best I can do was this:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/libr...(v=vs.90).aspx
Thanks for any help!
...John

Re: Where are the MSBuild Error Codes?
Google for MSB6006 - there's plenty of info available about this error code.
All advice is offered in good faith only. All my code is tested (unless stated explicitly otherwise) with the latest version of Microsoft Visual Studio (using the supported features of the latest standard) and is offered as examples only - not as production quality. I cannot offer advice regarding any other c/c++ compiler/IDE or incompatibilities with VS. Thanks, but, honestly, shouldn't there be an official reference for this?
