    Modifying a cell phone..

    Okay i am just wondering if someone can help me out here and this just maybe a dumb question, but can you take and strip a cell phone completely of its software or firmware, design a new software with a completely different purpose and install it on to the phone??? I know this sounds crazy and i know nothing of coding even though i would like to learn, but im just curious.. Thanks

    Well, it's theoretically possible, but probably not practical.
