    capital letters

    Provide three
    menu options to format the text entered in QTextEdit to
    (1) display the letters in capital letters
    (2) display the text in red
    (3) align the text in the center

    I did the 2nd and the 3rd part but I can't find the capital letter part

    if (name == "Color") {
       if (name == "Capital") {
       if (name == "Center") {

    I don't think converting to all uppercase can be done directly within QTextEdit. However, you can convert to all capitals a QString.

    All advice is offered in good faith only. All my code is tested (unless stated explicitly otherwise) with the latest version of Microsoft Visual Studio (using the supported features of the latest standard) and is offered as examples only - not as production quality. I cannot offer advice regarding any other c/c++ compiler/IDE or incompatibilities with VS. I have never used QT, but a quick Google search on QTextEdit found the documentation, where you can see:

    QTextCharFormat Class

    void QTextCharFormat::setFontCapitalization(QFont::Capitalization capitalization)

    enum QFont::Capitalization

    QFont::AllUppercase 1 This alters the text to be rendered in all uppercase type.
