Need some training videos or web sites that teach how to do win32 gui.

    I am using Visual C++ Express 2010.
Need to build unmanaged code, win32 etc
No MFC, QT whatever, I need to build everything from scratch?
    Thanks
    Jack

The best intro book for WIN32 programming is
Programming Windows 5th Edition by Charles Petzold
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Programming-...amming+windows

If you really want training videos, there are several available on youtube
    http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=win32+api

For win32 documentation, the best place is Microsoft
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...=vs.85%29.aspx
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...vs.100%29.aspx (with a link to some video)
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...=vs.85%29.aspx
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...=vs.85%29.aspx

    just search www.msdn.microsoft.com

"simple" projects are doable in plain API without a framework like mfc (which doesn't work in express) and qt and one of several others.

But a bigger project, especially one with advanced/complex UI requirements will very quickly become quite daunting.

You can write your own framework, but this is quite a big undertaking all in it's own (even for a limited framework). A framework like MFC and Qt are the result of manyears of effort. Some of the smaller/simpler frameworks are still in the thousands of manhours.

If your projects are big/complex/ui-centric, then I would recommend you find a framework that suits your needs.
