Dev version works, compiled doesn't....thoughts?

We received this request (I've asked the person to create an ID here and provide any additional information if needed):

We are trying to use CGZIPLibrary.dll to make a zip file.
When doing it with VB 6 on the development computer, not made into an EXE file it works. After compiling we cannot get the zip file to be written. It is very straight forward and we can send the source code we are using.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what might be happening?
