    License information not found

Can anyone out there help me with this.
I am running VB6 with WindowsXP.
On starting a new application I tried to add a dbgrid control to a form, and received the message:
"License information for this component not found".

I have been on many web sites looking for an answer to this problem, but all I get is offers to download some software that does absolutely nothing.

If anyone knows what is causing this and how to resolve it, would they please send me step by step instructions on how to fix it.
Thanks in advance for any help.
    Anthony Steventon.

    Re: License information not found

I Think that DBGrid is one of the old controls and needs to be registered before it can be used.
There is a tools folder on the VB6 CD that has the required files for this and other old controls that were not included as part of the basic VB6 install.
There is also a readme file in that folder that explains what you need to do.
