Moving an iOS app's content to the computer
I have a German dictionary app on my iPhone. I really love it and I need to use it on my computer too. But the app maker (which is Langenscheidt) only sells the printed book and the app. No web application or desktop application exist.
Now I can take screen shots of each dictionary entry on iPhone and then find a software to convert these pictures into text, then format the text somehow to create a proper web and desktop based dictionary application. But how feasible is this strategy? The most difficult part would be to convert the images into text.
I cannot think of any other way to do this. Any suggestions?

...and potentially violate copyright protection. Before you attempt this, you may need permission from Langenscheidt. You should certainly advise them as to what you are proposing.
