    CPPUNIT_ASSERT (macro ?)

While debugging someone else's code yesterday I came across various statements like CPPUNIT_ASSERT() / CPPUNIT_ASSERT_EQUAL() etc - but i can't seem to find them defined anywhere. Are they just "known" to the compiler somehow?
