    substring of a chineese string is not proper.

    Substring of a chineese string is returning wrong data. Substr(3) returns only 1 character. I am using string str.substr(3).But it is not working..
    Please provide some suggestions.

    What is string ?
    What is substr?
    Are you using UNICODE or ANSI/MBCS?
