I haven't been outside the country too often but this summer I took trips to Ensenada, Mexico and New Orleans, Louisiana; I know New Orleans is part of the US but the rich culture certainly makes it feel like it could be another country. I'm glad I went to New Orleans when I did despite the heat and humidity, since Katrina destroyed just about everything less than a week later.
