    Exclamation DirectX -

    Sup guys,

I made this thread so that I may ask questions regarding DirectX(C++ Win32).

To start with is the following true? "DirectX is just a name for a group of components, one example is; Direct3D."

    Thanks.
Just sayin' but I'm 14(I'm telling you this so you know what sort of language to use).

Also can someone please point me to a good book/tutorial and tell me where I can get the header and library files for DX9?

To tell the truth that was what I said about C++ when I first started becaused I sub-consciously feared not being able to grasp it then I thought I might as well just try a little and then see what happens, now I'm able to create a multitude of commercial level programs. Its currently the same for DirectX but I'm sure I'll grasp that too.

As for my second post please don't reply because a member just told me where the files are(that would be the SDK). But please answer my first post.

    Thank you.
