.reg safe autoinstaller
I have a .reg file, which is available as a download from my website which changes the timeout setting in IE to run a series of stored procedures on the SQL server without timing out.
I don't think users will accept a download of a .reg file and running it due to safety even if this is internally within the company.
Is there a way to get the .reg file to install through an installer that backs up the registry first or is this not necessary as Windows will do it anyway?
