In general what are the additional or special things to be concerned about and watch out for when making a multi threaded app run correctly on a multiple CPU machine?

I remember from a while back someone telling me at least one special consideration for multiple CPU machines but I do not remember much about what it was.

I have not been able to find much by googling for this. If anyone knows of a good reference that would be great.
