Treeview Control

I've got a developer here on my team who's having a weird problem with the treeview, and I figured someone here might have an answer.

She has the treeview on a form, building the tree dynamically after a selection from a combo box. The first time she clicks the treeview to expand it, it expands and then contracts rapidly. From that point on, it acts as expected. I stepped through the code with her, and could see no reason why it would be doing that.

Any ideas out there on why there is this weird behavior quirk? As far as I know, she's using the VB 6.0 Enterprise Edition version of the Windows Common Controls, and again as far as I know, she has no service packs installed on her machine. (Our department does such things as a department, not piecemeal, and has not done that yet.)

Is this problem still active? If so let me see if I understand the problem:
You click on this list (a parent node pehaps) and it populates the list
OR
You click on this list after it is populated?
