Join our team developing and administering leading edge, non-stop, global 24/7 financial trading systems.
We develop real-time trading applications utilizing the latest Sun hardware, software, and libraries (including UltraSparc III servers, Solaris 8, Forte 6.1, Purify, Quantify, Sybase, and Tibco). You will work with a small but demanding in-house group of 20 technical and 20 non-technical users. To grow our team, we seek a highly talented C++ developer to work on various components of our trading systems – enhancing the existing systems, developing new applications and directly supporting traders. Systems range from small Motif viewers to complex real-time computational servers. Developers work independently on projects and in collaboration with other developers.

This is not a traditional development environment; this is a fast paced development environment where the goal is to get from idea to implementation as quickly as possible, while maintaining high stability and robustness. Projects would typically include a mix of short term (1-2 days), mid term (1-3 week) and long term (1-6 month) developments.

To work in this fast paced, dynamic, and demanding environment you must be an exceptional C++ developer. TCM's selective hiring process considers only highly talented individuals with a history of exceptional professional and academic achievement, and solid real-world experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

Working directly with traders and analysts to develop and maintain large scale financial analysis and trading applications.

Developing new software as well as enhancing existing systems, mostly in C++, on a Solaris platform.

Fast paced development production cycle.

This is a very technical role - 10% analysis, 90% programming.

Requirements of the Candidate include:

3+ years of extensive (i.e., nearly exclusive!) professional C++ programming experience in a Solaris client/server environment.

Knowledge of Sybase, SQL and Xwindows.

Extensive experience with Posix threads design and development, API development, and third party API integration.

Strong math skills and experience with intensive computational programming.

Comfortable with programming in a production environment.

Given the mission critical nature of our applications you must have the ability to work very well under pressure.

Bachelors of Computer Science.

Excellent communication skills.

Relocation to Bermuda and a 3-year minimum commitment are required.
