How do I create an API?
I need to develop some functionilty for my usercontrol that I am building. My boss wants it in an API call. I never used API calls before, but know a little about them. Can someone point me to a good referernces or show my some sample code.
Thank you

Re: How do I create an API?
You want your control to respond to custom messages?
This requires subclassing, to intercept the message and - for your own custom messages, use of the RegisterWindowsMessage() API.
Your best bet is to download the source code for the MCI Hotkey control from http://www.merrioncomputing.com/Download/index.htm as this example registers a new windows message and then shows how to intercept it in the VB_WindowProc() subroutine.
