Accessing Excel from VB
Hi,
I would like to know a few things regarding usage of Excel in VB.
Presently I am working in office 2000 on windows 95 platform. In the references, I am able to see the Excel 9.0 and Excel 5.0 object libraries. When I install Office 97, I am able to see only Excel 8.0 object library.
If i use Excel 8.0 object library in my application will it be compatible with office 2000(Excel 9.0 object library) also?

Re: Accessing Excel from VB
If using 8.0 to read/write excel sheet, you may find it will work until opening the xls with excel2000. After that, you may not be able to open, read or write it again using your Vb (excel8.0) application, unless you save it each time with previous version via excel.
