Anyone know how to write an activeX or asp script that will read values from a database, then send that to the user as an excel or word doc? I remember seeing something about it once, and it mentioned setting the contenttype, but now I can't find any samples on it.

I don't want to create a file on the server for the client to download, because then it will start leaving unwanted files on the server. But a sample of that would be appreciated too
