How to start to use NT?
All the time I'm using "low level" Windows (3.1, 95, 98). I've never used NT as a primary OS, I mean as OS where all my development tools are installed. I knew that NT is more reliable system, but because of hardware compatibility problem I even did not try to use it. Now I need to start to use NT because of some products which do not run under Win9*. I have 2 phisical drives (8 and 18 GB) devided on 6 logical drives. All of them 32bit partitions. All of them have valuable data. NT doesn't work with 32 bit partitions. So, to use NT I have to make repartition. Here is my question: How big systems can use such small (2.1GB) drives to store their huge databases? I know nothing about NTFS. Maybe I need to use NTFS? Any suggestions how to start to use NT would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Vlad.

Re: How to start to use NT?
NTFS can go over the 2Gb limit of FAT.
Check out partition magic by powerquest, it can resize partitions without lost of data, maybe it can convert fat32 to ntfs too.
I'm using NT for a couple of years now, and I've never been so happy with a M$ OS... :-)
I'm not sure what the limit of NTFS is, but it's big.. your 18gb shouldn't be a problem (as one partition).
