c# vs java
I am goint to start my project. But I have no idea of using c# or java.
Someone said most companys in northern states in US prefer java, southern guys like c#.
I want to locate in south, so ...
what your opinions?

They are both tools that can be used to complete a job, and both are quite powerful general purpose languages. IMHO, if you are programming for multiple platforms, then Java wins out, but most importantly, the quality of the result depends more on the abilities of the programmer than on the programming language.

I agree with Pete's assessment. I would like to point out, that in 30 years developing software across the US (and some other countries), I have never seen or even heard of this regional bias.
