HELP : RAS functions in a NT service
Hi,
I need your help.
I've made a NT service, it calls RAS functions(RasGetEntryProperties, RasSetEntryProperties, Rasdial,...).
(the target is NT server 4.0 sp3, it's written with vc++ 6.0, and it's linked with rasapi32.lib)
My service works fine when manually started within a session but fails when configured to automatically start at boot time :
NT gives me an error message saying that my service didn't start fast enough.
I've unsuccessfully tried differents configurations by changing the start account in scm.
I appreciate any information I could get.

Re: HELP : RAS functions in a NT service
It sounds as if maybe you haven't set the correct dependencies for your service.
When you call ::CreateService(...), you can tell the SCM the names of the services that should be started before yours. Presumably you will need to specify at least the Remote Access Server. Hope this helps.
