It is my understanding that the CSplitterWnd class is designed to split view windows. What I would like to know is can it be used to split the mainframe window such that when new views are created they appear inside one of the divided portions of mainframe? What I would like to accomplish is to divide the mainframe into areas of differing context, such that the Views pertaining to certain types of documents are in one section and others are in another. What I am looking for is something similiar to the developer studio layout, but with with perhaps more flexibillity associted with views. If is it possible are there any difficulties associated with doing this, or is it just like using the CSplitterWnd in a view? If it is diffult what tricksdo I need to perform? Also if it is possible, can drag and drop be implemented accross the splitter.
