    Question How to start Network programming

    Hi,
    I am new to Linux. I know C++ programming. I want to learn Network programming.
    Can anybody guide me how should be my starting steps. Can I get some online help material or tutorial for this.

    Can I get some tutorial for Unix internal or IPC ( i.e what is socket what is pipe etc)
    why we need mutex and semaphore
    what is client server architecture
