How can I create cascading folders under start menu?
I have a namespace extension that looks for special files on your system (our own index files, scattered throughout the system) and presents a unified listing of these files along with their paths and contents. What I need to do now is to “ADD” this special namespace folder to the “Start Menu” (not replacing MS menu, just adding on top with CSIDL_START_MENU pidl) and
optionally show it as a cascading folder (like Programs). If the option (in registry) is to show it as a cascading folder, all is fine and I should show the list of files / folders when the cascading menu shows up. If the option
is set to not show this as a cascading folder, I need to simply “Explore” or “Open” this folder.
Simply put, How can I create CASCADINg folders under start menu (on top of all of MS's stuff, not under Programs etc.)
How can I go about doing this. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
