Hi everybody,
I am trying to implement a server app. I have one that watches a directory and events get triggered by a file droping to a watched folder. I also have CGIs implemented for IIS and ODBC. My question is what is the best way to put together a server app(or a service if you like) that can interface through web browser? So the app has to be up all and runing all the time. When a web client requests it can start, stop, pause or report about its operations. Any ideas, clues and directions towards books etc. will be greatly appreciated.
