"Update" request
I wrote a program that uses one Access database in a server runs win 98 and multi user accessing this database constantly. There are more than ten users accessing and making changes in the database all day. Here is my question:
Before update the cashed recordset into the database how can I check the table is in use or not at that moment and if it is in use at that moment how can I reply my update request with a little loop.
As far as I know “update†locks the selected row or table automatically (Default) till its done. But it seems like multi users crashing the database tables somehow.
I use Wind 98 2nd addition and DAO. My client uses Win 98 as well.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.
