Re: SQL Anywhere 5.5 ODBC and Multithreading ?
I'm using SQL Anywhere 6.0 in a multi-threaded ODBC app right now and it does not seem to support multiple threads - execution of multiple simultaneous statements results in a loss of communication with the server. As yet I haven't been able to solve this problem.

Ask and ye shall receive...
This is right out of the ASA Programming Interfaces Guide:
----------------------------
Threads in ODBC applications
You can develop multi-threaded ODBC applications for Adaptive Server
Anywhere. It is recommended that you use a separate connection for each
thread.
You can use a single connection for multiple threads. However, the database
server does not allow more than one active request for any one connection at
a time. If one thread executes a statement that takes a long time, all other
threads must wait until the request is complete.

And that's all she wrote.
