When defining a new environment variable en 'My computer' tab 'Environment', you have to fix value and then apply in order to validate the new variable.
I know that defining a new variable creates an entry in registry. But what kind of action does windows perform when fixing variable value ?
It seems that even Microsoft support doesn't know the answer !!!
