Creating a Web Forum

okay, so I'm trying to figure out how to create a discussion group for a friend's small website. Not as easy as filling a treeview from the db, since you can't specify child/parent relationships with the drawing of the indented links.... any suggestions?

ASP or Coldfusion, I can use either :)

I would REALLY appreciate a response with code that has real solid functions/subs written as an example I can follow.

There's a very good (free) ASP discussion forum package available on :

http://www.freevbcode.com - you'll need to do a bit of searching around (I think there's two of them), but both work (IIRC) straight out of the zip file.
