Creating shortcut with Package & deployment

I have a VB application that I want to set up in a package. I compiled my project into an exe. If I package this, it takes a copy of the exe and puts it locally on the clients computer and creates a shortcut that points to the local copy. What I want to do is create a package that will create a shortcut on the client machine, but I want this shortcut to point to an exe on the server. This way when I make changes to the program I only need to replace the exe on the server and changes will be reflected onto the client accessing the application.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I am new to packaging applications and find it confusing.

One of the screens of Package & Deployment wizard is for you to specify the shortcut to be created. If you click on the property of the auto-generated shortcut for your application, you'll be able to change the TARGET to point to a specific path.
