crystalreports

My vb6.0 came with the crystal report 4.6 addin component.However, this was not working with my access 2000 so i downloaded the evaluation version for crystal8.0 and installed it on my system. however when i add it from my vb program it still shows me crystal4.6 component as opposed to the newer one...but it connects to the database fine??? is there something i am missing????

Your VB program does not know that you installed the trial version of CR 8. Hence, it shows only 4.6. Try browsing for the component and then adding to the components list.

I did exactly what u say...but it still didn't show up in the components list...the only one showing up is the 4.6version.
any clues as to why>???
