automatically fill html form

hi, does any one know how to make a program to fill out the html form and submit request automatillaly with predefined data. thanks a lot

Which language/platform?

On unix, sending predefined data in an HTML form (GET method) and calling the script handling this data is just 1 line shell-script.

On windows, you can use both VB and VC++ to retrieve an HTML form (use Inetcontrol in VB) and submit it via GET method (well, GET is the easy way.....for POST, I think you'll have to type in more code yourself...). Look up MSDN documentation ( msdn.microsoft.com ) on microsoft Inet control.

Would be better if you read up (search the net) on how GET and POST methods work.

i am sorry that i do not explain my question clearly.

my question is that just like some tool can fill out the form automatically. it seems get a hook of ie and can get all contents of the webpage u are viewing. then it will jump out and fill many items such as name, address, email and etc.

i want to how to add such a hook and if i parsed the html content, i know i will fill some content to a form's text item. but how i accomplish it.
