Installing .NET SDK

I have Visual Studio 6 installed on my system.. i m jst wonderin if i could still install .NET SDK on the same system and whether it will affect nythg ....
Please let me know

i have done this before
just make sure to add the bin diretcory in PATH

Will the .NET run parallel to 6.0 or it will overwrite :(
