The VB6 implementation of DHTML is closely tied with IE4/5. If you want to make sure that your DHTML app will work on all browser types that support it, you'll have to learn the (hard?) way.
There are several sites that teach you the basics of DHTML and give very good examples that you can download and study - take a look at :
