I am using MS Access xp and the structure of lan is 1 master pc, 2 data entry pc and 1 general pc. now they donot update the database as run simultaneously.

At work we use MSSQL databases but need the Access features to produces reports. To do this we make a linked Access database. I'm not sure what level locks Access implements. Maybe the same can be done in your situation?
As it is now, can you edit the database from the two data capture pc's simultaneously?

You can put the access database in the Server or any computer acting like database file server and the application in every workstation, linking the database to each one from the server
