java script nested scripts with asp errors

I have two include javascripts for a dynamic mouseover menu. One script is the array with the links in the script and the other is the script to execute the code. I am using active server pages with visual inter dev and vbscript to access data from SQL Server on the same page. I get an error from IIS 4.0 saying I canot have nested scripts in the script block. Does anyone have a workaround.

This doesn't give proper idea of what exactly is wrong. Can u send/show the code?
