Borland JBuilder
Hello.
I am brand new to Java programming and I have a program called Borland JBuilder. It seems like a wysiwyg Java developer. Does anyone use this type of tool, or does it insert the same amount of junk code as most HTML wysiwyg editors?
Thank you for your responses.

Re: Borland JBuilder
Personally I think that it is one of the best editors out there. There are some funny little quirks to it...but what program does not have them.
What version of JBuilder are you using??

Re: Borland JBuilder
Thank you for your reply. I'm using JBuilder 2 Standard Edition, is that the best?

Re: Borland JBuilder
I use Jbuilder3 Enterprise Edition. There are three levels of JBuilder3 (Jbuilder2 was superceded by JBuilder3 in April) Essentially, at the Standard Edition level (the 3rd being Professional Edition) there is little difference between "2 and "3. I crash about 3 or 4 times a day, depending on how impatient I'm being. JBuilder does not like to be hurried if it is thinking, so sit back and let it do its job, but save often for safety. There really isn't much competition for JBuilder out there in my opinion, it offers the best and most integrated design elements with ease of code insertion.
That said, there is a lot that could be better about it, but if the alternative is writing all that code myself -- forget it!
