How to access Visual source safe from java?

I have to develop a content management system..Any pointers will be helpful on this.I am thinking like..we can store the docs etc in vss so that we don;t have to worry about teh version control etc..

if anyone has done this earlier..please suggest me the way

I know SourceAnyWhere is cross-platform. It uses VSS as a backend.

But it's not open source/freeware. You need to pay for it.
