Is it possible to burn the Visual Studio 8.0 cds on to a DVD?
Hi,
I have got the 5 CD set for Visual Studio 8.0. I would like to know how to create a DVD using these. I guess I can create seaprate dumps and burn then. But I was wondering whether it would be possible to create a intsallation DVD from these.

Try to copy all CDs to the root directory of DVD overwriting existing files. I didn't test this for Visual Studio, but it works for MSDN Library.
Since this is not hackers forum ( :) ), I must mention that copying of installation disks is illegal.

Why would you want to do that yourself? You can simply request the DVD version of the current beta from Microsoft.

Yes it1s possible. It will works well as tells Alex F. I have met such discs, but as I know they are illegally, and Microsft will not apreciate you. But anyway I will tell them nothing :D

Thanks everyone. BTW I ain't gonna redistribute the software.
I wanted to cut short on the number of CDs I hae and so was thinking of burning them all onto DVDs. But I may as well have more CDs than indulging in such adventures :D
