Yes, I agree!!!
Yes, it gives false hopes.
Yea thats really annoying.
If I'm going to pay for help on coding, it will be for a complete book, of video.
Wow, I just looked at it...$220 for a 1 year subscription, wow.
I like the people on CG better anyway. :D
Hm.. I didn't know it was paid site until now. Man, their prices are helluva huge :(
But I think it shows you the page once, right ? I think it's okay.
WHen you find an answer(searching Google or whatever) you'll see the question, then you scroll down past all the crap, and the answers are there.
Yes i too feel its annoying :)
I think you guys don't really understand the definition of "Experts Exchange", because I've used the site for a couple of years and it's great.
First of all, you don't have to pay ANYTHING if you participate in the Exchange (meaning... answering questions as well as asking). You can sign up as an Expert for nothing.
But if you didn't want to take the time to share what you know with others, then you either deal with all the advertising, or pay about $100/year to avoid it. (I have no idea where Notsosuperhero got the $220 from, but that's bs).
Anyhow... just look at this page to see that what I'm saying is true.

There is a box for paid membership, and below that is the box for "Earning" your membership.
And if you still don't want to see those couple of entries in your Google Search (for those of you that see them as generating false hopes rather than found oportunities), just create a custom Google Search Engine for yourself that excludes Experts-Exchange.com! http://www.google.com/coop/
